Rare Original King German Butzbach Beer Stein(6221638618)
The stein is slightly more than one-sixth of a liter or
150 milliliters – the size we younger children used back in the 1940s
when our immigrant parents allowed us to have beer on special occasions.
Butzbach is a city in Hessen, a state in Germany. The front of the stein
has a picture of the center of Butzbach. The bas relief on this stein is
superb and the detail is fantastic. This is why I have added super-sized
pictures so you can appreciate the detail on this stein.
Butzbach is considered a small town so I’m sure there weren’t many
steins made like this.
The mark is that of an ORIGINAL King hand-painted stein and the DBGM in
lid indicates it must be post-1949 Stein. I see no other flaws such as
chips, cracks or crazing. In fact, I consider this stein to be in mint
condition.
